AhlulBayt News Agency: The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine inaugurated the Sayed Jaafar Al-Hilli Center for Emergency Medical Services, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him).
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Senior Official of the holy shrine, His Eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, several officials from the holy shrine, as well as the Minister of Health, Dr. Saleh Al-Hasnawi, and the Governor of Karbala, Mr. Naseef Al-Khatabi.
The attendees toured the center's departments and listened to a detailed explanation of the nature of the medical services provided and the working mechanisms in each department. The center is equipped with modern medical devices and technologies, ensuring the rapid diagnosis of emergency cases and precise handling of them, which contributes to providing comprehensive healthcare for the visitors of Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them).
The head of the Medical Affairs Department at the holy shrine, Dr. Haifa Al-Tamimi, said: "Today, the Sayed Jaafar Al-Hilli Center for Emergency Medical Services was inaugurated in conjunction with the anniversary of the birth of Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him), with the aim of providing high-quality free medical services to visitors."
She added that "the center includes a pharmacy, two emergency rooms, one for men and the other for women, two doctors' rooms, a special section for dentists, a laboratory, a minor surgery room, as well as an ultrasound and X-ray room, in addition to the administrative wing. It is the first center in the city to offer this type of free services."
Al-Tamimi explained that "the center is equipped with modern technologies and medical devices and provides its emergency services in coordination with the Specialized Medical Operations Department at the Ministry of Health and the Holy Karbala Health Department."
The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is keen on enhancing the health and medical services provided to visitors by establishing specialized medical centers that offer emergency and urgent care, adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety.
